how long will it take to receive my photos?

i do my best to send a few teasers to hold you over within 48 hours. your online gallery will be available for viewing typically within 2-3 weeks for portraits, and 4-6 weeks for weddings and special events.

what types of shoots do you offer?

i currently offer: portraits for families, maternity, and lifestyle, birth, small events​/elopements, and weddings.

what happens if it rains?

we are fortunate to have amazing weather year-round here in san diego, but occasionally it does rain. i will keep my eye on the weather, as it does change hourly. if by the day before our shoot, the chances are still  40% or over for the chance of rain, i will do my best to reschedule for the soonest available date, or move our shoot indoors. if we are unable to reschedule for a time that works for you and your family, your deposit will be refunded. rescheduled shoots must be scheduled 6 months or sooner from original date.

how do i book you?

a 50% non-refundable retainer and signed contract is required to hold any date. send me an email or fill out the form under 'get in touch.'

do you offer payment plans? 

i do offer payment plans for balances over $500. all balances are due in full one month prior for small events and weddings and 1 week prior for portraits.

how many images will i receive? 

depending on your session package and what i'm able to capture during your session/event, i can't provide a solid number. i don't hold back on photos though or like to say a cut off #. you will receive all digitals, in an online gallery, edited and print ready. for an hour portrait session you can expect to receive a minimum of 80 images though. for weddings, you're looking at a minimum of 500-900! it just really varies. you will not receive any RAW images. you hiring me for my editing style and selection of the best photos.

what if we need to cancel?

i understand that people get sick (especially kiddos), and life can get in the way of things we have planned. every attempt to schedule a new date for your shoot will be made. keep in mind that all retainers are non-refundable, however they are transferable to someone else, or can be used as a credit for future use.

how long have you been a photographer?

i started shooting when i was 16, took a break from it for 16 years and started again in 2016. i have been in the wedding industry since 2008 though. i'm very familiar with the timeline of the day and the special moments that need to be captured.

will you photoshop us?

i will only photoshop things that are temporary. basically if it will be gone in two weeks, i will remove it. however, if you are especially self conscious about anything, please let me know and i'll do my best to avoid it or make you look more flattering during your session. if you still feel self-conscious about it after receiving your gallery, extra photoshop is $10/image.

when should i book you?

the further out we can plan, the better, but no more than 18 months out.

for portraits i recommend no later than 1-2 months out. 

for weddings i recommend about 6-12 months out. engagements sessions usually happen about 2-3 months prior. 

for birth and fresh baby sessions i recommend booking no later 2-3 months to due date to guarantee my availability to be on call. you should contact me when you are about 20-25 weeks.
