Every now and then one of my clients and I just totally click! I met Kate and Steve nine years ago! I was Kate's hair and makeup artist at her wedding and I remember it so well! She was such a classic beauty and we created a vintage, glam look. She trusted me back then when I had just about a year under my belt doing weddings as a hair and makeup artist. We had a blast getting to know each other through her trial run and her big day. Fast forward to 2018 and she now has a 6 year old daughter, Evie, that I am obsessed with and has the MOST amazing mermaid hair you've ever seen!

And here Kate is again, trusting me in my creative craft as a photographer, and to showcase her in a different light: as a wife and mother. It is such an honor because not only that, but they drove ALL THE WAY FROM RAMONA for their session! Talk about loyalty! This was my second time doing a shoot for this sweet family, but this time at the beach at Ponto, and without their sweet dog in tow.

The sun had just started to set and the lighting was just stunning! Evie is such a doll and truly loves the camera (can't you tell??)! I swear her hair grew like a foot since I saw her 7 months ago, but it was honestly SO magical in this evening light on the beach.

She was curious about the ocean and had the cutest term for it: "sea-ocean." Which I would say is doubly correct. She would run up to touch it but it was pretty intimidating and would just as quickly, run away from it. Thankfully we got all these cute pics before the "sea-ocean" decided to sneak up on this little mermaid, and get her cute boots wet which didn't go well, as you can imagine.

However, I love Ponto because it gives off a pastel, grey/pink tone that is so soft and beautiful in their photos, and we got some pretty beautiful shots at this location for the Weihe Christmas card. :)

Thank you, sweet Weihe Fam, for trusting me with your photos, and letting me explore my creative brain with you. It's been so amazing to know you all these years!
